Stake Presidency

A Letter From the Stake Presidency

January 1, 2010

Dearest Members of the Minneapolis Minnesota Stake, Past and Present,

2010 marks the 50th anniversary of the creation of the Minneapolis Minnesota Stake. From humble beginnings the Church has blossomed as a rose in Minnesota, growing from one state-wide stake to eight community-based stakes. We now celebrate that growth, and prepare to build upon the firm foundation of fifty years of faithful service.

As part of the celebration events and through our website, members will learn about the significant contributions of individual members to the growth of the Church in Minnesota. Many names and deeds will be readily and widely recognized. Many more will be Saints who have lived and shared the gospel in quiet strength in their home, ward and community.

We invite all to join us in this celebration. We promise that as we learn of our rich heritage, we will prepare to participate in even greater growth of the Church in Minnesota as we “Build on Fifty Years of Faithful Service.”
